Waymond Morris Park (formerly Southwest Park) acquired in 2001 is a 52 acre park. The park has a 7 acrea lake, a 1.5 mile walking trail, a four field football (lighted) complex, a centralized concession and restroom building, and a 290-car parking lot.

The football complex opened in 2003 and is home to the Owensboro-Daviess County Youth Football League.

Fishing is allowed in the lake. A fishing license is required for anyone over 16 and under 65.  All rules set by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife must be followed. Boats are not allowed on the lake.
