Rental Information

Jack C. Fisher Park fields are designed to host regional and state tournaments for both youth and adult softball and youth baseball. The complex consists of four synthetic infields with natural grass outfields and field lighting. The athletic field house offers a three window concession space, clean restrooms, employee offices, free Wi-Fi, four electrical vendor boxes, and a designated event room for tournament directors, umpires, scorekeepers, and media.

Each field can accommodate:

  • Base distances of 60′, 65′ and 70′
  • Softball mounds of 35′, 40′, 43′, 50′ and 53′
  • Portable mounds of 6″ height, 8′ width and 10′ length
  • Permanent fence distance of 300′
  • Temporary fence distance of 200′
  • Electric box for machine pitch

Tournament Directors and their organization must submit a completed and signed Rental Request Form to Bryson Morrow, Assistant Recreation Facility Manager at bryson.morrow@owensboro.org. User groups are encouraged to submit as much detail as possible to assist with the evaluation process.

Designated staff will review each rental submission to authorize dates, and verify event details are suitable. Upon approval, the renter will be notified by email. The renter must submit a signed contract agreement, $500 damage deposit, 25% rental deposit, and proof of insurance within 30 days of notification to complete a reservation.

At all times during the course of the scheduled event, the renter shall at its expense, secure and maintain a comprehensive general liability insurance policy, or the equivalent thereof, written on an occurrence basis, with a combined minimum single-limit liability of one million dollars $1,000,000.00 per occurrence for bodily injury, personal injury and property damage. The general comprehensive liability policy required shall name the City of Owensboro, Kentucky, at the address listed below as an additional insured:

Proof of the required insurance shall be provided by the renter to City three business days prior to the rental term. Failure to submit materials will forfeit any reservation with the Parks & Recreation Department.
